An interior designer and Fine artist based in Nairobi, Kenya.
I Curate functional, creative and aesthetic spaces, and create unique art pieces (paintings)
A creative individual inclined to creating not only functional spaces but also aethetically pleasing, tailored to the client's needs.
This is a residential space planning project and the task at hand was to design a space a fit for a couple, and come up with a suitable floorplan and space execution that would fit their daily lives. The floorplan shows how I attempted to arrange and allocate space for different functions.
For the final year project on proposal,we were tasked with redesigning the
Kenyatta University Conference Centre located at the main campus along Thika
Highway. This facility is comprised of Conference rooms, Accommodation rooms
and a Restaurant. This project involved a vigorous process of research,
sketching and coming up with designs for each space and finally using CAD
to visualise and realise the whole project.
The other project involved space planning for public spaces and we got to
work on a food outlet located at Kenyatta University’s main campus along
Thika highway. The food outlet is located at an ideal spot where both
students and staff can access it. Howerver, a majority of the users of
the space are students and most of them use the space as a study area.
It is therefore not easy to tell whether there is a restaurant there or
it’s a chill spot. We were tasked with re-designing this space to adress
these issues and also space plan.
I have selected 2 /4 of the projects from this year for display.
